How do OEM makeup brush projects move from sample to bulk?
Start with a brief, review charged development samples (creditable on a production order), approve the physical sample and artwork, then place a bulk order against the written specification. Typical MOQ is 2,000 pieces or 1,000 sets; schedule sampling, production and shipping as separate stages.
| Stage | What you provide | What gets agreed |
|---|---|---|
| Brief | Reference or idea, formula use, quantity unit, destination | Sample scope, category and any applicable fee |
| Development sample | Artwork, construction preferences, review notes | Physical sample against the written brief |
| Approval | Accepted sample, artwork and change log | Production specification and start conditions |
| Bulk order | Confirmed quantity, packaging and delivery terms | Production schedule and shipping plan as separate stages |
Treat sampling and bulk as separate stages.
A development sample answers construction and application questions. Bulk production follows only after you approve the sample, artwork and written specification. Share a target arrival date early, but plan sample revisions, material preparation, production and shipping as separate stages rather than one fixed calendar promise.
Development samples are charged—and can be credited.
PRETTY charges for development samples. When you place a production order, the sample fee can be credited against that order. Exact fees depend on specification, artwork, packaging scope and any new development. There is no single published fixed sample price; confirm category, fee and schedule after reviewing your brief.
Approve a physical sample before locking the OEM specification.
Review head shape, dimensions, fibre or contact material, finish, logo placement, packaging and intended-formula application on the actual sample. Record what changed from the first brief. Keep the approved sample and drawing with the order documents so a later reorder uses the same reference.
Count quantity in the unit your quotation uses.
Typical minimums are 2,000 pieces for individual brushes and 1,000 sets for coordinated brush sets. State whether your target quantity is pieces or complete sets, and give quantity per design and colour. Unusual finishes or new tooling may need confirmation beyond those typical figures.
Move to bulk only with start conditions written down.
Before production, agree the approved sample reference, artwork revision, inspection methods, acceptance criteria, packaging scope and delivery terms. List exclusions and optional items separately. A lower headline price is not evidence of an equivalent specification.
Use the project form when you are ready for a configuration-specific quote.
Send the selected reference or idea, changes, quantity unit, logo, packaging, destination and target arrival date. PRETTY reviews the proposed construction and quotes sampling and production for that configuration. Factory workshop photographs and the 28-step process pages show how brushes are made; they do not replace the sample approval for your design.
